I just tried to find last year's April Fool's blog post and realized I never posted it! I can't believe it! I have to tell you about it.
We got our cars last March at the very tail-end of the month. After spending quite a bit of time at the dealership throughout the whole experience, we got to know some of the employees there. They were so great in helping me carry out my little prank. I printed up the most real looking fake Anderson Toyota check you can imagine. It was awesome. Once you looked closely, you could see that it was fake, but at first glance, it was totally genuine. I dropped it off to the finance manager at the dealership and had him fill it out payable to Clint in the amount of $500. He then called Clint and told him that every month, they collect the names of all the purchasing customers from that month and put them in a drawing for $500. Guess who the lucky winner for the month of March was? Oh, I know my husband, and I know that he already had that money spent in his head before he even got off the phone. He even called a few of his friends to tell them about it! So, he got to the dealership to pick up his winnings, and they announced over the loud speaker their congratulations to one lucky Clint Jones. They then gathered all the employees together for a picture with Clint and his check. After all the hoop-la, he was able to get a good look at the check and realize that in the memo it read, "Happy April Fool's, love your wife."
He's such a good sport. :)
